About the Role

Role: Audit Supervisor: Audit Manager - Global Markets Equities
Location: New York

Job Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee assigned audit areas as an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), focusing on Global Markets Equities, Futures and Options, and Research.
Execute audit strategy through risk-based auditing, defining scope and procedures to evaluate control environments, and drafting audit reports using automation and innovative methods.
Supervise audit testing to ensure timely execution and adherence to quality standards, audit policies, and procedures.
Assess the impact on business processes, controls, and strategies, providing severity ratings and escalating broad themes or trends.
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and judgment to challenge management, improve the control environment, and drive continuous improvements.
Mentor and guide team members daily, fostering an inclusive work environment.
Maintain and build business partner relationships, primarily with line management, to enhance business knowledge.
Utilize expertise in products, business, and technical areas to effectively challenge management.
Specifically preferred: knowledge of trading and hedging strategies, supervisory procedures, P&L attribution, risk management, operational processes, and regulatory landscape.
Validate audit and regulatory issues, support regulatory exam preparation, and provide timely responses to inquiries.
Leverage data and analytical tools during audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
Communicate findings effectively with strong influence skills.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 6 years of audit experience in capital markets, equity and equity-linked products, derivatives, front office risk management, banking regulations, and internal policies.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading audits as an Auditor-in-Charge.
Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field, or an MBA.
Professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or relevant securities licenses.
Intermediate skills in analytical and automation tools (SQL, Alteryx, Advanced Excel, and Access).
Experience in large, global financial institutions, preferably banks or large brokerage houses
